Location: Curwensville pa | Hey guys I'm a fly fisherman from PA. And I was just wondering does anyone chase muskies on the fly. I am seriously getting after em this yr with a flyrod and was just wanted to swap some info and tips. It's a little bit different aproach to fishing em witha fly and something they dont see everyday. |

| I've fished for musky & pike w/flies for years. Best musky 45", 25 lbs. I held 2 IGFA records for pike on flies, too. When fishing side-by-side with hardware chuckers, I consistantly raise more musky (and pike) on flies. My preference is Marabou streamers (they're surprisingly tough) and a streamer made mostly from Flashabou. Big deerhair divers are great, too. Everything you need to know is in the book, "Toothy Critters Love Flies," available at Amazon, B & N, and many fly shops.
Give this great fish a try on flies. You'll love it. I've fishde for nearly everything, all over the World, and I fly-fish for pike and/or musky at least once every year.

Location: Curwensville pa | Yeah the last 1 is a hangtime. It's a "triple" a 3 hook articulated fly. You really cant beat bucktail for action. |

Location: Racine, Wi | I like the hangtimes as well. They are fun to tie and look sweet in the water. Will be throwing the fly rod in a few weeks for them. Can't wait!!! I slacked on tying any flies this winter and just tied blades. Went gung ho last winter though, so I'm stocked pretty good.  |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | Must have been the lenght of the winter this year. I too did not tie many flies as I nomally do. I did however buy a bunch of "project baits" just to have something to work on! Last batch was a bunch of topwater flies with baby willow blade shaped tails. I made like 2 dozen and now have like 4 left. Allot of bass & pike involved too, but a killer TW. |

these are all 6 to 8 inches long.
And another triple , 10 inches long it has 2- 3/0 segments and a 6/0 for the head.
