I just talked to a friend and we are doing a quick trip to little boy lake in minnesota, never been there, it was his choice and sounds like a good walleye lake and then i see it has musky, has anyone fished this lake, we are going to be there around the first week in june. just looking for some starting points for both muskies and walleyes. thanks.

Season opens Sat June 4 I think. Can be decent early, but then gets a little tough during the summer. I'd fish (troll) open water in the top 10 feet of the column. And try the usual suspects as well.

If you are fishing opener, hit the bay just to the right of the landing. That is the spawning bay. Caught my first there (I think) about 18yrs ago.

June would be a great time to spend walleye fishing in these lakes. It's a little too early for skies though

We just fished the musky tournament there last weekend. We had three boats in our group, we saw ALOT of fish. Boated seven, biggest being 42". Fish rush edges, and shallow. We were burning double 10's all weekend. Lots of work but lots of fish!!

Wabedo has been very good to me on opening weekend for years, try and get over there if you can.
