Posts: 572 Location: Germantown, WI | I have two reels (out of warranty) that need a little repair work. I was hoping to find someone local where i could drop them off, get worked on, and pick up. This is obviously harder than it seems, unless these guys don't advertise on the Web very well? The only one i found (not even sure if they are still in business) is Easterling's Reel and Rod Repair in Milwaukee. My questions are two fold: 1. Anybody use them/what did you think? 2. Is there anyone else in my area you can recommend... maybe even one of you MuskieFirst guys dabble in repairs on the side? Thanks in advance for the replies.

I can personally voutch for PIKEMASTER. He's been doing my reels for a number of years now, and knows his stuff. And his turn around time is almost non-existent. You will not be disappointed if you send your reels to him.

Location: Milwaukee | I've used Easterlings for years. Good guy, likes to talk, I think he's open odd hours so call first. About a 2 week turnaround. Good Luck!

Posts: 880 Location: New Berlin,Wisconsin,53151 | I used Easterlings, charged 40.00 to clean and repair a baitcaster. He does like to talk and the service can be slow but he get's the job done. Gives you the bad parts back. You could try Smokies as John will refer you to a in store service again the job did get done after the 2nd try and was done correct. It again wasn't cheap and you have to make the decision on how much to spend. Netman
