I've fished Tonka twice this summer and only raised 2 small ones. Unfortunately as you know the boat traffic sucks. Hopefully this late in the season on a week day I can stay out past 10 in my 14' Lund without getting run over. I keep hearing how good Tonka is, I'm determined to catch a musky there. Hopefully I can get one this year so I don't have to wait until next summer. I thought of going up there this past weekend, but with the super nice weather I decided to head over to French instead. No recreation traffic at all, but then again no fish seen, but did see another put one in the boat. Either way I'm coming up there in 2 weeks and more in the future. I just wish I didn't have to drive 2 hours to get there.

Tonka is good this year. With the cold front here, in a few more days it should be rocking again! If your planning to be here in the 2 weeks, that should be prime time. During the week, the lake is empty and the recreational traffic will be long gone! I hope it will be!
As you get closer, drop another note or email me. Maybe a few us can head out with you!
