Muskie Fishing -> Fishing Reports and Destinations -> North Twin Lake

I spent the week between June 16 and 23rd on North Twin. We had a great time inspite of variable weather conditions.
The cabbage is the best that it has looked in years. The average size of the fish we were moving were well above normal. North Twin Lodge , an excellent place to stay, keeps track of total catches per day in each year. This year
as of last weekend, 69 muskies had been registered as compared to 74 all last year!

Steve, how many pins did Tom Hickson give out to your party while you were there? I head to North Twin couple of times a year and I live in St. Louis, MO...

I agree with JohnMD, you're almost giving away too much information!!!

John MD - how's the new boat been treating you???

Good fishing to all..

JohnMD, I didn't tell any secrets but I did put a mark on the carpeting in my Esox Magnum to show me where I saw the fish which I had action on.
Mo-Muskies, I would guess Tom gave away atleast 10-12 pins during our week. The week after we were there, one guy caught 8 legals in 6 days himself!

Steve: The new boat is great I should have bought it sooner,
How deep were you finding the cabbage on Twin ? I have always found that the deeper the cabbage grew the bigger the fish. Did you get on S. Twin at all? I usually stay at Scott's on S.Twin nice clean place and very nice folks plus the Sundowner Bar is right next door

I was up on Twin last weekend. Friday afternoon was great, as I went up a half day early and the other guy's Friday PM. I boated a 42" on a gold spinner in deep cabbage, a 36.5" on a TR Twitcher shallow cabbage and had several other hot fish going on Friday. Saturday slowed down a bit with no takers, but some nice fish seen. Sunday AM we headed home in the frigid, blowing northwoods.
