Superglue, I prefer the gel type. It doesn't drip like the normal stuff. I have some of the accelerator spray too. I like using it because once you hit it, the tail is stuck and won't shift on you. Any hobby store will have the accelerator spray, and higher grade superglue.

I have not looked at the stores but most of these products have a one year shelf life and then the effectiveness starts to go downhill. So if you see a date on the bottle....I had a baitmaker send me two bottles last year both were shot by the time I got them.

I've had pretty good luck using this stuff-

Got it at my local big box hardware store.

I quit gluing mine and started using the "hitchhikers" from Rollie and Helens (or make your own) hung from an eye screw. Makes them easier to replace after a bite-off or when they get damaged. On most lures, they also seem to improve the action.

Phantom sell the glue they use on their baits. It's a very high quality product made in Eau Clair WI.

I don't use nails, I use deck screws and screw them on with a dab of Shack Attack glue.

Didn't see the previous post....I'll try the Phantom glue, they get a good seal.
