Location: Not far enough north!
Just East of St Louis here and we have kind of lucked out. They were calling for an inch of freezing rain and we only got about a quarter inch of that lastnight and it has been sleeting all day. We have an inch of sleet and the roads are pretty snotty but at least it is not sticking to the trees and power lines anymore so when the wind hits hopefully not too much damage will happen. They keep saying it is going to switch to snow but its still sleeting.
Took my niece and nephew around the block a couple times in a sled and you know what I like pulling a sled in sleet easy walking and it glides like a dream:)
The cows were not too happy this morning though with all the ice. When I tried to get them out of the barn to feed them they really just looked at me like are you kidding? Just leave us be well skip the corn today...

Wife's stuck in Dallas for work. Her flight back has been delayed once. I'm sposed to leave Thursday for Dallas to cover the Superbowl.....but I'm not sure if she's going to be back in time to watch the kiddies so I can leave.

Lovely. A friend in Iowa called it "Snowmagedon."

Guys ,
I'm starting a job in one of the Mines up here in Northern Mn. and staying at Spring Bay on Lake Vermilion. This morning it was 29* below zero and a bit nippy .Tonight it's going to be 25* below zero with 35-40* below zero wind chills..... Buurrrrrrrrrrr.
About 4 feet of snow on the ground...... Bring your snow machines and Tip ups and come on up.

Global warming my A$$ !!

Yep. We called it Skitchin'. Many years ago I was flying along behind a car in downtown Lacrosse. The car slowed, I let go and rolled off. Stopped at the feet of a beat cop. Cost me $60.00 for disorderly conduct. The police report described it as "College hijinks". LOL.

We lost power here about 30 minutes ago. Still have some power left in my phone to come on here and post. Going to get cold though!

Hey a good friend of mines Dad used to pull us around town on our Radio Flyer Sleds. One tied to each side of the back bumper of his delivery truck. I think of doing that now and I know they wouldn't let you out for awhile without tests. LOL but it was fun back then.

Brutal!

Al gore said recently that the global warming is causing the colder weather, too. But in 2002 they said that the global warming was the reason that there was less snow that winter?? Hmmm...yeah, that's the ticket!
