Posts: 829 Location: Maple Grove, MN | I think we some levity around here. Has anyone tried any of the Wii fishing games yet? If you have, which one is the best? Does the rod thing make it more fun? I have a idea. How about we have Wii fishing tourneys? We can all play the Wii games and report our scores?

Posts: 104 Location: Hudson, WI | I have played the Bass Pro shops game called "The Strike". Its a fun game. I would definitely say having the rod makes it much more fun to play. You can catch pretty much any freshwater game fish in the game including muskies. Edited by fishwisconsin3 1/25/2011 5:29 PM

Posts: 56 Location: Southern MN | I've played the Rapala Bass Fishing game with the rod and reel for 360. It was fun but got repetitive fairly quickly. Good variety of fish but the fishing itself got repetitive and old quicker than I thought it should've. This game is offered for the Wii as well. Caught a 70 lb. Muskie on Minnetonka BTW! Location: Illinois | We're raffling off a Black Wii System with Wii Sports/Resort and Rapala Fishing w/rod controller at the America's Outdoor Show Jan.26-30 and at the Tinley Park Fishing Show Feb.12-13. Looks like it could be addictive, especially when you can fish muskies! Mike Illinois Muskie Tournament Trail

Posts: 829 Location: Maple Grove, MN | A 70 lb Muskie on Minnetonka? Wow! That sounds like fun. About the only way that would ever happen... I hear you about the repetitive thing. My daughter has the Rapala game on her DS and my wife has a fishing game on her iPod Touch. Its fun at first, but it does get old after one catches fish after fish after fish. Even the deep sea fishing for Wahoo, Tuna, and Marlin gets old when one catches a 150 to 200 lb fish almost every cast. What they need to do is make it much less predictable and much harder to catch a fish. Even the most difficult level isn't much of a challenge once a person figures out what to do with it. I wonder how a "realistic mode" would be when you cast for hours, even days, and see nothing - like real Muskie fishing? Edited by Herb_b 1/26/2011 12:53 PM
