  | 9ft Thorne Borthers custom Trolling rod. Its actually very reasonable for a custom. Its a glass blank so its got give for strikes but plenty of backbone to land big fish. I think a stock custom version is around $225.00. I paid under $300.00 for mine and I upped the guides and had a full well's foregrip added. It can be cut down too if you want a shorter blank. If you want something cheap and effective Ugly Sticks actually make a decent trolling rod for the price. |

Location: Canada | I have a pair of Okuma EVX Musky series 8' trolling rods that I have had no problems with over the last couple of years. These rods have a different taper and action than the 8' casting model offered. Also it is my understanding that the trolling rod they offer is glass or a combination of glass graphite which the other casting rods in the line are not, they're graphite only. Love my Okuma Convector 30's for a good line counter that won't break the bank. |
