The biggest thing I noticed was the reduced weight overall...the other significant thing is the reduced spool weight makes casting so much easier re:backlashes. Less momentum=better control

im in line for a new reel this year probably another TE,just curious how hard is it to fish these reels with no level wind?Can you only throw blades with these?An are they made left handed also?

Also the reel sits lower on the rod seat so it is not so top heavy like the old one.
