| hey guys ive been looking at this forum for so long i decided to take a crack at making a few baits. i found a few nice scraps of maple at school and went to work! went out and bought a cheap airbrush too. i had some problems with the etex but what the hell it was my first try. so i decided to come on here and post my baits. you guys are incredible. some very inspiring baits on here! i also painted a suick for the fun of it. the baits run incredibly well, i guess i got lucky with the weighting positions. tell me what you think!

| thanks wolf! no not using a drying wheel. the last two pics of baits were rattle can finish and were the first i made. the glider with the tail and suick were after i got the air brush. i think the drying wheel is next on my things to build. wolf do you have any plans on how to make a drying wheel? i am hoping to make a bunch of baits over winter break when i have time and can actually get some time in the shop without having to work on my industrial design projects. |

Location: South-Central VA | Congrats, you now have a healthy addiction! Drying wheels are easy to make and all they require is some scrap lumber and a grill rotissarie that you can get at Wal-Mart for around $30.

Seriously? He's got pictures of them hanging where the e-tex is obviously dripping. But hey, are you using a drying wheel? DEAYHHHHH!
Not bad for your first baits man. Like said, the suick perch pattern looks nice. You'll only get better. I made basement baits for two years before I made a drying wheel. It's really not a necessity, especially when you're just starting out. The only thing with e-tex is you'll get a little nipple on the end of the bait. But as long as that nipple is dripping around a screw eye (which they all appear to be) then it is easy enough to chip/sand/file that off. When applying multiple coats of e-tex, just hang them opposite ways each time. Good luck with your soon to be addiction. |

| lol thanks guys ill be pm'ing a few of you in no time. im busy with school and actually fishing right now  . so not too much free time. getting anxious to make more though  ill be sure to post pics
