Location: Contrarian Island | muskies were on the move and eating in Vilas for AGrimm and I this weekend....we had to have Sled make a special delivery of suckers after going thru 15 on day 1....here is one of the prettier fish I've had in the boat.. boated some real fattys.... biggest in boat was 46"... topwaters and suckers were the bait of choice....who says muskies don't eat topwaters in 52 degree water temps  Big thanks to Sled for the sucker shipment! we owe you 1... Posts: 516 Location: Kildeer, IL | Our results were similar to BNelson's. We could only get our hands on 7 suckers so we couldn't have quite the luck that he did. We got six in the boat with 4 over 40. At one point on Friday we lost or caught three muskies jigging dead suckers. We didn't have any action on artifcials. We only had 4 follows all weekend. None of the follows hit the sucker (that we know of). In the mornings we saw fish in the weeds in 7 feet of water. In the afternoon we saw them on mid-lake rock humps. We were also fishing in Vilas.
