What is the coldest air temp that you feel safe leaving a boat in the water with an I/O?
Thanks

I used to have a 25' SportCraft with a Mercruiser I/O that I would leave int he water until ice. Just kept the drive down and had a small block heater I plugged in and put under the motor box. With out any of that once you start getting into the mid 30's it doesn't take much for it to drop below freezing. A couple hours over night just below 32 isn't going to hurt though it will take longer than that for it to freeze up to the point of doing damage. Your best bet is to just go fishing every evening to warm the motor up then let it help keep things warm......
