I use square lips most of the time. I go to a round lip, aka 7.5 inch grandma when i feel they want a slow non erratic retrieve.

Sometimes, it seems, you can have a guy in the front of the boat working a twitchbait or glider eratically, and a guy in the back slow casting a round lip bait. At times the guy in the back will get the action. Give it a shot on tough days, otherwise twitch, rip, jerk, etc with whatever.
