Not sure how many of you are fans of Heli Dawgs but I fish them on fairly regular basis. My biggest beef with them has always been with the way they come from the facotry I couldnt fish them deep enough or fast enough for my liking under some conditions. Recently I started playing around with some different blades on them and have found a regular #7 willowleaf blade does wonders on them. I can fish them pretty much the same speed and depth and I would a regular MagDawg but with some added flash and vibration. I know I'm not the first to try it out but I haven't seen much mention of HeliDawgs and thought I'd pass along a little something I found that makes them a more versatile bait.

Good Fishin'
Tim
