Location: New Hope MN | My buddy and I are headed up this weekend. Staying up in portage bay. Anyone have any tips for where (depth, cover, ect) the fish are and what they're eating?
Thanks,
Dave |

Location: Ames, Iowa | They were busy on the rocks and weeds when I was there 1st 2 weeks August. Caught my personal best this trip. A great place to be mid- late August. Two Points of course and try to get to Submarine. When you get tired of casting, you can troll for your supper on the Annex and Sugar point flats. Good luck. |

Location: New Hope MN | Very tough trip... water temps were 74.8 (surface) Sunday morn. We only saw 3 fish and lost one boatside off submarine. Worst outing of the year by far...
Tried reeds (one follow, say 35"), rocks (lost one 42-44", 2 follows around 40), and weeds (nothing). Weeds were horrible. Portage bay was being hammered by at least 20 boats and the weeds were few and far between.
No one at my campground boated one (8 other guys). yikes.

Location: Metro, MN | It was probably tough because they had the MAC tournament on Leech this weekend as well. |
