Well just got back from a shortened week up north, all i can say is, terrible!!!

Weather got hot, water got too warm, could only fish a few days because of it, and the fish said, no way!! Had one follow... A little depressing since ive been looking forward to this trip for months.. oh well, what can ya do?

Ive angered the musky gods somehow, need to figure out how to reverse it!!

The water was way too warm, and an algae bloom on top of that. For reasons best left alone I was on land when the rains came Tuesday afternnon/evening in the Leech lake area. Did anyone make it on the water during the rain? If so let me know what was going on please. thanks, Jake

I feel your pain! Was up Monday through today. Monday, water temps were 77, yesterday they were 84. Air temps pushing 90, sunny skies and not a breath of wind on a crystal clear lake. Couldn't fish yesterday from about 10 am on, water too warm or today, thunderstorms, don't know what water temps were, more worried about the sparking going on. Couldn't find a fish on the weededges, so went deep. Got a 29, 30, 34, 35. Nothing to write home about but better than nothin'.

I hear ya. I shouldve stuck it out, probably could have fished some more..
Was concerned about getting a nice one and having it die though, wouldve taken all the joy out of the catch..

so i will suck it up and start thinking of next year!!
