| Been reeling in 5ft of weeds only to see the last three and a half swim under the boat![:(] [:(] [:(] Figure eight your weeds! |

| ....and if you are fishing in super dense fog, don't stop your figure 8 + start talking to your buddy about wonder what would happen if someone in a nearby boat slung a jumbo jerk + smacked you in the side of the head, 'cause when you look down in the water there is a jumbo ski looking back at you, + by then it's too late! | I've got to get into the habit of not skipping the figure 8 when I have big bunch of weeds attatched to the lure. Old habits are tough to break, and unfortunately I was told when I first started muskie fishing that a muskie won't hit a lure that has weeds on it.... |

| Last year, I was so hung in the weeds, that I had to aim my rod straight at them to pull the lure free. Thinking nothing would hit or even see the lure I cranked back as fast as possible. The water inside my weed pile exploded with what I figured was a 45 Inch plus. Not much else I could have done, but, another lesson that, when they eat, they don't care.[:0] |
