We are having the best action on bladebaits with chartreuse blades. Smaller prop baits in med slow retrieve are coming on. Swimbaits have been getting follows. Still get some fish to trigger with an agressive jerkbait. (Perch & greens have seemed to dominate) What's hot in your water?

On St Clair its been a wild ride until the last attack of floating weed masses. For us Fish were coming on Slashers off planer boards. Several big fish came on Spanky Fire Balls with gold blades. Got my personal best on a Superman Talonz Slasher 53.5 Wife got her pb on a Spanky 55. Both fish over 35 pounds. Reports from Muskies inc show lots of small fish being caught on 5 " Tuff Shads. Lokie and Wileys all putting Fish in lots of boats. The biggest trend in the last 10 years on St. Clair has been the use of Buck Tails. One point to note though about trolling Bucktails for long periods. Unlike Spanky Baits most double 10's do not have a nylon bushing in between the clevis and the first bead. This is important as high speeds and continued trolling will eat the clevis's up causing you to lose a blade. Spanky baits have solved this with a nylon spacer inbetween the clevis's and the first bead. Great Improvement over other brands. As fall approaches on St. Clair we will transition to the Nils , The Talonz Magnum Claw and Mag Slashers. Im not sure how the Big Bucktails will do in the Fall but we will still be running them as well.Kingfisher

Someday I'm coming over to LSC! I need to hit Bay De Noc first though according to my list.
