| sponge, you work for the postal services, right? Well, can you explain why there are no less than 56 ink stamps (circles to show city, date and way of shipping) of Rice Lake, WI on the package I got from GregM? Ain't they got something better to do???? [] |

| Dirk, I thought that was funny too as I watched the postmaster "have at it" with that stamper. SInce he had to totally wrap the box with brown paper, he then had to put an official stamp on each intersection and joint of the tape lines. That way they could tell if the paper had been removed and the "seal" broken. []

| Dirk, lets just say I show up 5 days a week...as for the circular stamping, we need to know from Greg if he sent the package Registered mail...were the circular stamps done in red ink? If so, then each section of tape must be stamped to check for entry...each registered piece is signed for under lock/key for safety. As to your question why they sit there + stamp it for so long; just 1 of many reasons we are so far in debt! Things that need to be done are put aside in order to look busy, + ones day is spent performing menial insignificant tasks in order to avoid doing the important things...5 days per week I subject myself to continuous bitings, kickings, gougings, scratchings + overall abuse...yet when I crawl on all fours to my truck each day a broken + bleeding shell of me former self, I can't help but ask, "could I have done more for these people?" Driving home, trying to see out of my swollen plum purple eyes, I brace myself fo yet another round...knowing that when I crawl through the front door the above will happen all over again at the hands of the assorted sponges...if I'm lucky enough to make it upstairs to the table, I face a cold gruel most often eaten through a straw...as I lay down on the hearth that night + pull a tattered blanket over me I often ask my self why...the answer is simple...so you guys can get parcels decorated w/ 3 pints of ink! [:sun:] |
