Location: Maplewood, MN | Taking my wife and son to Spirit Lake Iowa in a couple weeks. We'll be fishing primarily Spirit but may go over to W Okaboji. Not looking for any spots but could use some suggestions on Lures. Thanks in advance! |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | Take some of your best twitch baits....bullhed and walleye colors maybe even in the smallie pattern. If you troll I would also say a propwash blade bait would do you well. |

Location: Des Moines IA | I'm headed up there for the first time as well. What I've heard the most is, Dbl 10,s and Bulldwags. With a pull bait (Suick, Wades Wobbler) thrown in for good measure. |

Location: Maplewood, MN | Thanks all, I have my plan all worked out. Probably will be staying on Spirit for the most part. I've got all the breaklines marked up for trolling Jakes and all the weed edges for running blades, jerk baits and twitchers. Also a lot of deep rock/gravel areas I'll be hitting with a variety of tactics. Wife thinks I'm nuts with all this planning but hey, I have to get her that first musky. Hoping for some luck, I'll post results! |
