Only fished last night for a couple of hours on Waubesa and raised one and had one other come clear out out of the water trying to hit a pacemaker and missed the lure completely. Nice fish though so I know where she's hanging out.

went after some pike this weekend instead of ski's, and caught some decent ones. We got 3 over 30". biggest 32 1/2" lost 2 in the 35" range. 10 pike total in 3 hours. long A crankbait ripped around the weeds gottem to come unglued, there was some pretty sweet strikes, with the fish coming complelty outta the water.

I got out a couple of afternoons. Friday a got a 40 and moved one other on a double ten. On sun I moved four. One I caught witch was 41.5 and another I didn't get hooks in on a figure eight. All four of those I moved on a nitewalker.

Saturday went 2 and 2 in pool play, didnt make it to the tournament round. But there are worse fates than being trapped at a volleyball tourney on a beautiful summer day at Chicago's North Avenue beach...NONE of them have better scenery. Took out my aggressions over losing on Saturday by beating up on my 61 year old mother on the tennis court on Sunday.

Oh, and I vaccuumed my boat. And no, I don't have a clue how to spell that word.

This is possibly my 300th post, so I'm gonna ramble. After viewing the well taken pike photos with healthy looking humans, I decided on posting my P.B. Northern I got on Saturday south of the border. It measured 43.5" and was at least 22 lbs. (a weight guesstimate by someone who has caught numerous..not me). I didn't soil myself or have a swig of urine, but still had a good case of the shakes as depicted in the lovely snapshot! This sport still hasn't grown old after 38+ years, so picking up a club and chasing a white ball doesn't appear to be in my near future. I didn't have a full length mirror in the boat, but this photo should be reminder to at least briefly "tidy" yourself up, and get a camera the user can tell is working. My "huskiness" caused my treasured Suick shirt to pop out while bending over the boat to get the bait out, so that is not a goiter/bag on my side, and my Minnesota standard issued Thorne Bros. hat is kittywumpus, but at least it covered up my bald spot. It is also evident I need a chin lift and to have my teeth whitened! I also snapped a 8' telscoping rod on a hook set on Sunday. It sounded as if a .22 went off, and my fat carcass almost ended up in the drink. It was NOT an Okuma, but I no longer "Lika" or trust this brand of rods. This was my 11th year fishing with my good friend, Steve Scepaniak of Predator Guide Service, and he has always put on me big fish. I came away with a P.B. w/ white spots, witnessed some of the most spectacular atmospheric conditions mother nature could toss out, lots of laughs, and a snazzy Outdoor Logic TV hat guaranteed to cover up a bald spot that never goes kittywumpus!

Clark, great pike, bigger than I ever..

Shaley, I like the look of both your fish, but looking at them, is that one WI strain and one spotted strain fish? Did they come out of the same lake? Nice pair, just different looking from one another.

Slow most of the day with short feeding windows. Seeing very few fish as Cory Painter mentioned last week. Did manage to scrape up a few fish on Big Joes and Hardheads. While a couple of fish were contacted on a flat in 15’ of water, the majority of our fish came over 30-40’ of water. Largest fish seen was on the 15’ flat with suckers around, but follows make for thin soup! As far as the deep water fish some were running high as we caught a fish just before a Joe was brought out of the water, and lost another shortly after the Joe hit the water. Also got the largest of the weekend with a Joe fished very near the bottom in 30’ of water. Lots of arcs in deep water, and near the bottom. The flats fish responded to the Hardheads, and only the hardheads. Best action both days were 10:00am-12:30pm.

Water temps on the lakes I fish peaked at 76°, and by Sun. midday were 73°.
