Subject: lowrance help

I'm not sure about this but the transducer for my lowrance is clicking when it is turned on and then when it is turned off it quits. Is it suppose to be like that because I'm curious because I haven't gotten any follows this year and I wonder if that is keeping muskies from following back to the boat?
