Whats anyone know about the Matrix fishfinders?? I have a 37 and a 27 (??) Will be getting replaced but not right away...

I've been using the 27 for almost five years. Has performed flawlessly and I like that the unit snaps into place versus putting a couple of cables into the back of the unit.

It's not color, won't take a chip, etc., but I use mine mainly for finding structure: weeds, drop offs, etc. when fishing for bass/walleyes. I like its detail and if it shows fish then there really are fish down there.

It's probably a pretty cheap unit for the money these days, but I have no plans to upgrade.

You can plot GPS coordinates with it, too, however I just use my H20C instead.

Mine are a 27 and 17.. seem to work fine for now but I really miss my color.
