I'm looking at a boat with a 2006 150 opitimax. In the NADA there are 3 listing L,xl, cxl what is the difference? Have these motors been pretty relieable?

The L=long shaft, 20 inch shaft, XL= Extra Long Shaft, 25 inch shaft, and CXL=Counter rotational Long Shaft(CXL is for ski boats or other pleasure boats). So, it'll depend on your transom, more than likely, as long as it's not a bass boat, it's probably a XL shaft.

What king of boat is it? I can tell you which one for sure then.
