I was courious if anyone changes there trolling runs due to a heavy bloom . The green stuff changes most fishermans casting tactics but how about trolling ?Any speed changes ,depth changes, lure changes or lure color differnce ? And just how far does the bloom go down ?

Blooms can be funny. On the fox chain for instance, I can't buy a fish one a loud colored bait trolling the bloom. On other lakes they work great. I think it is an individual preference type of deal. As far as how far down the bloom is, it depends on wave action, water mixing and the severity.

If it is anything like muddy water, vibration seems to work ok down here!

The water I troll is already very dark before it blooms and I use very loud baits, like big spinners or bucktails or cranks with wide wobbles, same goes for the lakes that I can't troll but have bad blooms, I'm not afraid to fish them.
