Anyone ever make a small rear casting deck to extend back over the splashwell? I would make it out of steel with rubber feet marine grade wood etc. Just wondering if such a thing would be a good/bad idea. Thanks, Ben

Why would you use steel? Aluminum is much lighter and more corrosion resistant. As far as good idea or not? I guess that would depend on what kind of boat you have and how badly you want the extra deck space.
