Posts: 2091 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Hey gang, What a rough year for me! As many of you know last June I had a L4-L5 fusion last year and I wasn't able fish at all, definately a bummer of a year for me. The good news is that I'm completely pain free and feel better than I have since I injured it firefighting in 2003. Fast forward to April 2010. Things were looking good for the start of this season until I had two horrible bout of Diverticulitis, the first in February and then again on Easter Sunday. I spent 11 days in the hospital and ended up having a Sigmoid Colectomy done where they took out about 16" of my large intestine. I was literally cut open from nuts to sternum. As of yesterday I am pretty much fully healed and will be going back to work this weekend. Finally I am healthy and am going to hit the water with reckless abandon. The Tuffy is suffering from some severe slime withdrawls along with me. Thanks again to everyone for their thoughts and prayers this past year and I hope to share my boat again with many of you this season. As usual I have off Mon-Thur every week and I always welcome people to come fish the WI River with me or head up to Oneida and Vilas counties. Watch out muskie's.... MuskieMedic is back!

Posts: 395 Location: NW WI | If we'd combine our two "Collectomy's" you (Sigmoid) and me (Right Hemi) would have very little colon left.....not a pleasant thought!!! Glad to hear you're doing OK and getting back on the water. Word to the wise....if you even feel a twitch of a #2 coming on, make sure you're close to a john!!!! It comes a lot faster than it used to!!!! Edited by Ifishskis 5/25/2010 6:40 PM

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | It is a well known fact that after an extended time off, every follow and catch for you will be over 45.375" for atleast the next year! Keep your hat tipped back to keep the shadows off your face for the pictures! Good Luck! Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 5/27/2010 5:51 PM

Posts: 2091 Location: Stevens Point, WI | SVL, that would be awesome if my follows averaged that. I'll hold you responsible if they don't. LOL. Let me know Michael when you plan on coming to WI again, I would be great to share a boat with you again. You could stay at our house to help save some cash. Muskyboy, let's hit Shawano one of these days. I have a feeling my arms will be killing me at first since I'm out of muskie shape. Probably will take awhile to ease into throwing big tens.
