I will be heading back to the Three Lakes Chain. The walleyes were bitting last weekend. My bro-in-law caught a 47.5" ski on sunday on a walleye crank and we had a few other follows on small cranks pitching to the wind blown weeds while we were going for the eyes. I can't wait till Saturday.

Hi,
The lakes up here are warming fast and I have never had as many muskies on when not fishing for them as I have this year. It really is something this year. Everytime out walleye fishing this season we have put 1 or two muskies in the boat. How many more we have seen is another thing. Have seen more then ever. I also want to mention that not 1 of the muskies we caught had eggs in them. All smaller fish up to 42 inches. It sure is fun on the lighter tackle. Good luck all. Don't be surprised if you can't put in at your favorite landing. Many of the lakes are seriously low right now. The D.N.R. even has a list up of the lakes that you can't land your boat at.s

Steve, I will fishing the Moen chain, since that is where we have our cottage. So you don't think the camera would be able to pick up the Suick action in our slightly stained water?

Hope everyone has a fun and safe Northern opener.

I'll be one of those northern tourists everyone seems to love so much. The wife and I got invited to a friends place in Lake Tomahawk. We'll be spending some time driving around and looking for smaller lakes to fish that hopefully won't be too busy. Hoping the low water levels won't make this adventure too difficult. Either way it should be a fun time. Wife is very excited to try and get her first musky.
