Anybody been hitting Redstone?

If so, any patterns you'd like to share? Are they holding back in the coves, mouth of the coves, deep, open water, trolling, etc. etc?

Thanks for any info...

Seems like serious responses are at a premium some days.

Judging by the silence? I'd be on my way there right now if I were you!

Tough bite for me on Redstone thus far, four outings and 0 fish. Last night the boys and I fished 8:30 pm to 12:30, we really thought with the moonrise we would be in business, the only business was the thousands of shad which at times practically jumped in the boat, lots of lure competition, we hit shallow and fished couple flats. We will hit her again at 4:00 am tomorrow and hopefully end this drought.

I was camping near there and hit it thursday night until late, friday early and late, saturday early and late and sunday early. Did have one smaller fish follow a fish stick. No fish. Shad are busting on the surface everywhere. While trolling even had to clear the baits from snagged shad. Musky could probably just swim around with their mouths open if they're hungry. Talk about lure competition, while casting the shad would literally attack the bait. Even if a fish did follow, they'd probably just eat the shad anyway. Interestingly enough the only bigger fish I was marking were in 25' or deeper and were sitting on the bottom. Tried dragging rubber on bottom to try and pry them up. There's allot of crap down there. Snagged lots of brush and an inner tube before finally losing a bait. Gave that tactic up after that.

If anyone is having any success out there, I'd be interested in hearing what's working.

Don

Saw some spud catch a few muskies on Redstone using live bait. Suckers I believe.

Go to "lake link", and then go back through the lake Redstone posts and you will find some musky information, spread over 2-3 years I think. It will become a zoo when they finish developing it.
