I could use a little help. I am looking to buy a Weagle and am wondering which size I should get. Just pretend that you could only buy one to use from spring to winter, what size would it be. Thanks for your input.

Posts: 1996 Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | I use all three sizes, but if I could only have one, I would go with the 10". I use that bait more than any of the others, and start with it as soon as water temps get in the 70's. It is an easier bait to work than the 8 is, and moves more water than any thing else I've seen.

I can't vouch for the 10 but my original cady 8"er is so good that I don't need another weagle!

Location: Des Moines IA | 10 incher baby ..... Water temps were well under 70 as well ...... I think the 10 works a little easier then the 8, but I've heard it doesn't run as well in large waves ...... Posts: 1184 Location: Iowa Great Lakes | I bought my 10" at the MN Expo, casted it briefly on Saturday for the first time, stuck a 40 and 45 on it on Sunday and had 1 other follow. I'm a believer, Fact the 40 came from a spot almost visible in the pic up a few posts.... Edited by shaley 5/20/2010 10:13 PM

Posts: 335 Location: Minnesota | Last year - my biggest opening day fish came on a 10" weagle. I have been converted from thinking small baits early in the year. I don't like my 8" weagle as much as the 10s so that is what I throw mostly.

I wasn't even aware there was a 10 incher. I have a few of the original Cady 8 inchers that he made right in front of me. Lots of teeth marks and these babies are still running strong. I also have a few of the prototype plastic baby Weagles he had made and they are nice and easy to work, but hands down I throw the 8 incher 95% of the time I throw top water. The fish on LOTW cannot resist Weagles =o) Midge

I have the 10'' in stink pickle color and have never used the 8'' model but i can say that nearly every time i have thrown the bait i have had fish blow up on the bait or follow it one of these days i will stick one on it.
