Subject: Lake Of The Woods Report

Just got back from fishing LOW for the past week. Fishing was fair at best, we had to fight high winds all week and the lake had a major algae bloom. We did manage three muskies 32, 39, and 44 inches, slow for the amount of hours per day (10 to 13). Water temps. were 72 to 74 degrees. Main baits for what little action we got were spinnerbaits and tallywackers. Out of the 6 1/2 days of fishing we only had one day with really fishable winds. We feel also the major tempiture change from the 90's to low 70 's had an effect at least that is our excuse.
