| I would like to purchase a good pair of polarized sunglasses to wear on cloudy days, early morning, and right before dark. What would you recommend?

Location: oswego, il | I just bought a pair of costa del mar fathoms with the sunrise yellow lense shipped for 81 dollars. They have been great in low light so far.
Somebody just came out with a near tintless pair of polarized glasses. I forgot who. I have a pair or tintless polarized but not the brand that just came out with one and I noticed no difference in wearing them and nothing at all. |

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | I would second the yellow lenses!! I just purchased a set of Ocean waves with the yellow lenses and love them!! Definitely worth the money!!
what I have found is the yellow lenses will do in lower light conditions is create more contrast and definition, along with being easier to see when in low light. I know I feel blind without glasses on.

Location: Stones throw away...finally!! | Smith yellow lenses are great as well. Super quailty. I have a pair of Costas with blue/green lenses and they have become my back ups. I actually wear them all day. Very easy on the eyes. |

| I have a pair of Costas in sunrise lense..great lense for low light and a pair of habervisions too...one new lense just out is H30 with a "polar clear" polarized lense that I am going to try this year... |

Location: 15 miles east of Lake Kinkaid | Just to clarify...are you guys talking about the amber lenses? Or is there a new lens out that is better for low light, yellow lenses? I am just wondering as I have Costas with amber lenses that I wear for low light conditions and love them! |

| Costa use to make a "sunrise" lense that I believe they discontinued...i have a pair of those and a pair of the amber and the sunrise is better at low light than the ambers.. as mentioned I think the h30 polar clear lense is going to be great for low light ...gonna try a pair |

| Amber is not the best lense you can wear low light. There are better choices as noted above. |

| The Smith Optics with yellow polarized are the shiznit . I have the ones that you can change lenses . I love em . |

| A few years ago I tried on a pair of Maui Jims with their new HT lenses and that's about as close to a perfect low light or overcast lense as I've seen. |

| has anyone tried the Costa Del Mar Release? They come with three sets of inter changable lenses, and one set is yellow. All are polarized, and they are only about $80 on Ebay. Sounds almost too good to be true, but Costa Del Mar is a good brand name. |

| I love the Ocean Waves Luminator lens for sightfishing. They have a yellow base but have a violet mirror which makes your eyes completley relaxed in the brightest sunlight but you can still see unbelievalbe in low light conditions.

Location: Contrarian Island | hammertime, sierra trading post online has those release costas on closeout for 3 more days at $55 a pair w/ 3 lenses...and Costa does still make the Sunrise lense....imo Amber is NOT the best lense for low light, either is any gray lense...the yellow lense from Smith Optics (had a pair til I broke em) and Sunrise lense from Costa actually seem to brighten the conditions at hand, not darken them...ambers and grays darken things up and yellow will actually lighten conditions... amber is a great all around lense but not the best option for low light/ cloudy, sunrise/sunset...hense why Costa called their lense "sunrise"....my 3 cents

| Yellow lenses are great in low light. They increase contrast in low light situations, making things stand out more and making them more visible. They're the best option, and are great for sightfishing and flats fishing, if your into that stuff. |

| The sunrise lense from Costa has been discontinued, found this out first hand when I had to have a lense replaced a few months ago. All that's available in that lense is whats already out in stores,ebay, etc, once its gone thats it. |
