Location: chicago | Last night was the start of the season however, I decided to cast 4 and 6 inch Grandmas. I caught 3 northern by the time the sun went down. I bet that I catch a musky by the end of the smelt run in Chicago!!! |

Ive never had that kind of luck. Wisconsin , canada from Rainy lake wolf river
to cabo San lucas all great. But never did good in any of the habors . not saying it
can't happen just I never did well. Only in the md 1970's with lot of pearch and
many buckets of smelts. take care and many more. |

Havent caught a northern, or muskie for that matter, at Montrose. I have stuck a couple of northern at Belmont and Diversey harbors though. I was always puzzled why never at Montrose. Good to hear.
Do you want some company this weekend? Don't even know where my smelt gear is any more. I do plan on trolling for some coho this weekend as well. |
