I'm going to be at the 2010 Great Outdoors Expo in Woodstock,IL on March 27th & 28th.Anyone know anything about this little two day show?I was recooperating from surgery and had to miss the Chicago Muskie Show this year. Now that I'm feeling better I thaught I would drive out from Buffalo,NY and bring some muskie related products to this little show and get the chance to meet up with a few of my friends from the Chicago area.Spence Petros is doing some seminars at the show and I believe one seminar is on muskies as well.
Any info on the show and area would be much apreciated.

Thanks,Capt. Larry D. Jones

I'm going to take my chances and bring out Vince Bianchi Spinner Shop with his lineup of spinners and Stan Durst custom painted crankbaits, jerkbaits & topwaters,Amish built rod racks, wood stringers of fish and wood muskies carved out of fence posts.10% of all sales will go to purchasing fathead minnows to feed the musky fry at Prendergast Hatchery on Chautauqua Lake.If anything I'll get to visit my friends in the Chicago area, with any luck I can at least cover the expenses of coming out. There may also be a couple muskie tackle vendors from PA there as well.

I will have 5" Tuff Shad crankbaits in many colors! The Tuff Shad crankbait was the go to bait for the PMTT Championship Winners on Chautauqua Lake a few years back and is used by many on Lake St.Clair with great success as well.

I can only wish and dream of a top-notch Outdoors show coming to Utah. Don't get me wrong we do have outdoors shows/expos but mainly booths of a gazillion of out-of-state&country outfitters and Utah fly fish'n for Trout. Wish we could have some folks with gear/tackle who appreciate Tiger Muskies/Musky/Northern Pike/Walleye (yes Utah has Tigers/ Pike/Walleye) visit Utah with their gear/tackle for them species. Oh well just a dream oh-hummmm sigh with envy...I guess we'll continue to buy on-line for those of us out in the mountain west who don't fish for Trout and every scientific experiment of Trout species.

The summer Outdoor Expos are for retailers only general public can't get in. We just had the International Sportsman Expo (ISE) this past weekend and it was primarily out-of-state outfitters and most if not all fish'n gear was geared towards the Utah State fish that being 'Trout'. I haven't been to the ISE for 2-years now based on it being a gazillon booths of outfitters for hunt'n & fish'n trips.

Here's a link to see what was at this show.

I may do the International Sportsmen Expo next year, with that many outfitters there I may sell a lot of product to them as well.Good place to also kick off my August--September Skagit River,Washington State, Salmon Trips for sure.
So I would bring Muskie / Pike lures,Trout lures,Beckman Nets and offer Muskie Guide Trips to the Niagara River & Chautauqua Lake,Salmon Trips to the Skagit River in Washington State and Peacock Bass Trips to Guyana South America.

I hope you found the show worth the trip. My family enjoyed it, but we like the smaller shows. Your both was interesting. Thanks for bring the wooden items as well. I'll let you know if I get lucky with one of the Ojibwa Scout bucktails!

Hope to hear from you when you get a chance.
