| If you have participated or are considering future participation in the Fox River Valley spring tourney on the fox chain, please let us know your thoughts on the following.
This years event was a huge success inspite of the cold weather and rain. However some people did not stay for the food, raffle and awards ceremony. Because of some feedback we are conidering some changes to make it more comfortable for those who participate in the awards ceremony. We are entertaining the idea of not using a tent and moving the party/food/awards to another location after the tourney. One of the places under consideration is the Tower Room in Antioch.
This is only talk at this point but will be discussed in detail at our next board meeting in Septembember as we need to secure our venue soon. The reason for the pole is to learn what past and future anglers want. We realize this years weather was extreme for late April but the threat is always present when you have a spring tourney.
How do you feel about packing up your rig and heading down the street to a different location for the awards ceremony? Your feedback is appreciated.

| I second Anon..
What are the chances...you will have 40 degree weather and rain again.
Offer more prizes....like a bag of lures for every angler just for showing up at the end. The Milw Chapter does that on the Pewaukee Classic and its a huge turnout. They also offer a free meal too all for $40 a head, but without the cash prizes. |

| I agree with Jason & Annon, If you move the awards and Food to another location I think even less people would show up

| I agree. I fished the tournament the last 2 years and think the the location and format is great. This year after being out in the rain all afternoon, my partner and I just didn't feel like staying for another 2 hours while being soaked to the bone. We opted for a hot bowl of soup at a local restaurant and a 1 hour drive home to a dry set of clothes.
