Might I suggest using Amsoil lower unit lube? Good stuff and it is synthetic, so it will not get thick in colder temps..

I have a 25 Merc 2 stroke, which Amsoil would I use and would it still be a 50-1 mix. Also, where can you buy it.
Thanks Tom |

For 2 stroke oil, the HP injector is really good stuff. It's synthetic and burns cleanly with very little smoke. Will definitely keep plugs cleaner and the engine will run smoother as well. Not sure where you can get it there, but I know some NAPA stores sell it and I would be there will be some independent sellers in your area as well. My independent here in Hastings is who I use and cost is under $30 for a gallon.

If you do a quick google search for "amsoil in chicago" you can get a list of dealers in the area.
