I know this topic has been beaten to death .Has anybody used the st croix legend sling blade and the premier 8 6 version if so are they at all comparable for big blades or slingblade hands down.Looking to save some money and have not been able to actually hold a slingblade thanks.

THe only rod blank available in a 8'6" in both the Premier and Legend is the "Big Dawg". The Dawg is a XH and not heavy.
If you want a custom rod built to your specs using a St Croix blank send me a PM.
