| Do any of you fellas use non-levelwind reels? I'm cautiously debating whether or not I want to buy one (Trinidad 16n). Heard good things about them, but I have never used a non-levelwind reel. I'm sure it takes some time getting use to. I am thinking it may lead to more backlashes, especially at night. Please, any information is welcomed and appreciated. |

| I have a 16N and have no issues w/ it spooling correctly ...filled to about 3/4 full on the spool. It doesn't get backlashes much at all either ...also, you get use to flipping the lever after about 5 minutes of use and it becomes 2nd nature when using that reel...probably the best reel I have ever owned imo.. not really a good reel to use at night imo as you are bringing in soo much line it is hard to go slow w/ them...better to use something like a Penn 975 or TE for blades at nite imo.
great reels. you won't be dissapointed |

Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | I have one and it works great, this summer I may get another one, only one size down, (14 N)
You get used to it in a few hrs. of use.
Oh, and I find myself reaching for the leaver whenever I switch back over to a reel with the Thumbar......Repetitive motion sydrome.

| I have a TN 16 and the reel is amazing for BIG tails and BIG rubber. It is also great for burning the snot out of double 10s. It takes a bit of getting used to, but not bad. You get the hang of it in less than an hour. I wouldn't trade mine for anything. The reels are also bulletproof.
