would be me or muskie_man if the temps were 10 degrees warmer here in southern ohio/ne Ky. can't handle low 20's . Yesterday was great high 30's maybe even 41-42 but today is an Al Gore Special. Forecast looks crappy for the next week, creeks may freeze . lows near 10-12. So might be while before we can score. did catch 1 yesterday . maybe we caught the last fish of the decade ? MD

MD,
I actually planned on doing this for a change this year, since I had NY day off. But the prospect of freezing temps, 15mph wind, and driving over Jellico Mt. at night with some kind of freezing precipitation, just depressed my desire to the point that I will remain an "internet pro" with the rest of the bunch, at least for the weekend.

The fact that they reduced the prize package for this, also had a lot to do with it. It's not like I need a couple more baits and another reel that bad. Even the dog won't go out today.

got one yesterday at about 11 in the morning. Not much to write home about, might of been the smallest muskie i have ever caught. How big was the one you got at the cave lance?

Technically, I don't think the new decade starts until next year...contrary to what the media is reporting.

little sandy is starting to clear up in grayson, if you can find any of the holes that dont have ice on them should be able to catch some fish, the one i got at the cave was around 30", we lost one trolling that felt like a pretty nice fish, gregg's clients got a 34" and a 36" all the fish were caught trolling shallow 3-8 ft of water.

lance, pretty sure they got them at iron hill and johnson hole, that is what i heard anyway. We got a little guy and seen four more new years day. Also got two and seen 19 new years eve. Most fish came in on glidin raps, hellhounds, and soft tail phantoms.

So the new century didn't start in 2000 then?

Bad picture but I'll take a 43.5" on a 3" shiner on New Year's day!
