wOULD ANYONE THINK IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO FISH FOR MUSKIES WHEN THE SMELT COME TO THE SHORESIN MAY???? dO THINK THAT MUSKIES FOLLOW THESE FISH???

You'd probably have better luck with Steelhead and Salmon. My guess is the muskie population in the Chicago area is rather low or non-existant. You my run into some nice Pike in the harbors though.

They're there. I know someone who got a 34" last April during the smelt run while Lake trout fishing. If it's open season go for it!
