I can't say I am really surprised by this, as they've been headed upsteam for a number of years. What frightens me is that Asian carp thrive in cold water. What happens in a few years when they find their way North into the rest of the great lakes, and our favorite fisheries in Canada??

I'm thinking if the president was Republican, and the governor a democrat, this would be an alarmist tree hugger view, pollution vs jobs and industry. Now it is directly Obama's fault, LOL. Sounds like the damage is already done.

I don't mind closing the locks. Loading and unloading would mean a bunch of teamster jobs in the area. We need jobs.
