| what are some of your favorite jerkbaits in the late fall? would like to pick up a couple and needed some input. |

Location: Chicago, IL | I use weighted 10" Suicks and my own EZ-E Riser.
The EZ-E Riser gets down to 8 feet deep and has a very slow rise on the pause.
I add additional weight to my Suicks to get them down deep.

| New favorite, the Tyrant! I can work it just like a glider under the surface, just barely keep it moving about 5 ft down or like a bulldawg 15ft with long rips its really versatile. |

| I'm a little biased, simply because we make the lure, but we have been seeing some really nice fish on the Livid Fish this fall. I had two 45+ boat side recently in a matter of a couple hours. One of them hung around for two swings at the Livid!! It's a great fall lure. I use it primarily in 16-18 feet of water, over deep submerged weeds, but a slow, steady jerking regiment in shallower water will get 'em excited as well.

Location: neenah, wisconsin | i would have to say pearsons 10 inch wide glide...these are the easiest big bait glider i have ever used and have a sweet belly rock,,,,,i used to think amma bamma was sweet but now its definately pearsons plugs only,,,,my ammas ,undertakers,,,burts,,, have all been sentenced to solitary confinement and may someday be posted on the sell forum,,,,,tis the season for a 10 inch hog nose sucker pattern,,,,good luck to finish 2009,,,fish on...muskie54956 |

Location: Ontario | Big, thick hooks, heavier rings, bell sinker up front, soak 'em between uses, solder around shank of one or more hooks. It all works. Suick's a very easy bait to mess around with re: weighting in my experience.
12" Suick, 13" Bobbbie, Big Daddy, Wades Wobbler are all good 'wood' baits. It took me a while to get my 12" Suick set up right, but that thing is a killer just like the 10". Mine kind of lurches fwd and stays totally flat in the water when it hangs. The closer to the boat it gets the more side to side I can get out of it. I have no problem with fishing it all day, running dead straight and deep. Sledge is another bait that catches a lot of fish. Doing a bit more with Mantas etc but way too slow for me to get deep. Suick, Wades etc, the more I'm on the rod and reel the deeper I can get it. Tough for me in front of the boat with wind etc to get the Mantas down with the waiting for it to sink etc. Great action though. I see Hawg Teasers mentioned a few times, never tried on but like the look of them. |

i am a little old school in how i weight my suicks
i actually float them in a wash tub and set bell sinkers on the back (upside) until i like the depth they are sitting in the water
then i mark the location of the weight, drill a very small hole from the top down, flip it over and drill out the small hole to a larger diameter and the depth needed to drop the sinker in,
glue the sinker in place, bondo up the hole, coat of paint on the belly, seal the bait and go fishing
i know it sounds like a lot of work but that is pretty much the way i started doing it 30 years ago....works for me 
i aslo change out the hooks and rings to a heavier style too

Location: neenah, wisconsin | hey dre get ahold of jomusky--joe junion he has weight systems so u can place an insert in the bait and change the weight to try to achieve whatever depth u r looking to achieve......enough in the kit to do many many and weights also...just an option .....pretty easy one i might add! |
