| I use a leader straightener. I think I got it at Rollie and Helen's a few years back. I don't see it in the catalog, call up there and see if they still sell them. It is hard to explain, but made up of three rollers that are hinged together. You just run the wire between them as you squeeze it together and it straightens it out. It's about 2 1/2 inches long and works great.

They are a couple bucks cheaper at Thorne Bros though. I also have one and find it works pretty good, but if using heavier wire like .062 or bigger I have a hard time getting the wire perfectly straight. I have since gone to buying the 15" pre straightened shafts from Stamina. In the .062 size it actually comes out cheaper per foot than buying the coil and I dont have to mess with straightening. Of course I probably end up with a little more waste, but for me the trade off is well worth it.
*** Side note, apparently Stamina has been sold and is in the process of moving from MN to IL and wont be back up and running until the end of the month.**** |

Location: Hayward, WI | Thanks alot for the reply's. Mostly, I use pre-cut wire also. Recently, ran out and got some in a coil last time. I am switching back to .051 from .062 wire now anyway. It seems like I get more vibration with the lighter wire.
