Posts: 157 | Leaving for a week of fishing on the 28th of August and am wondering if anyone has been up there and what the water conditions were like? This is my first musky specific trip to Canada and would appreciate any pointers. Thanks in advance! Dylan

Posts: 131 | i'm headed up there tommorow morning for the week.i won't be able to post anything before you go but from what i've gathered this past week on several sites[and from the resort] weather has been crap and so has the muskie fishing.[walleye have been good tho]sounds like strong winds have kept people from getting out much.the 10 day forecast looks pretty good tho with a high of 70 saturday with 10mph winds.there is a chance of rain mid week but no severe weather is predicted.[weather persons are always right, yeah right]hopefully the big girls will be ready to play!good luck on your trip!

Posts: 170 | I was up a little over three weeks ago. The water was high well b4 I got there, but came down to about normal when I was there. With the higher water, coooool temps and not alot of sun, the weeds were behind. We had rain nearly every day and very cool weather and water. Thank God not a big blow though. I got a 52.5, 47.5 and a few in the high 30-40 range. Lost two good fish (46-48) at the boat and saw three fish that stood out ("Legal on Eagles")... All in all the weather sucked, but we fished hard and produced some good fish. Both weeds and rocks produced. The usual double 10's were the ticket and suicks and Doc's also produced. Later in the week the fish seemed more interested in double 8's and 7's and rocks. There were a few more over 50 in camp (up to a fattie 53). Was up at AML.. it was good to see the old bud's again. Not sure how it's doing right now though...know people up there as I type. Good luck and stick with it...no doubt that a good fig 8 is a MUST. Most every fish ate at boatside. Some after numerous 8's. Edited by JimLang 8/21/2009 6:59 PM
