Posts: 457 | Who we are: Recycled fish http://www.recycledfish.org What we do: In short we promote a lifestyle of stewardship on and off the water. What we'd like you to consider: Joining us as an "Angler Ambassador" http://recycledfish.org/home/?p=653#more-653 > If you choose to participate as one of our ‘Angler Ambassadors,’ you’re not obligating yourself to organize a ‘come one, come all’ kind of fishing event where people come and fish for 24 hours. This is just you and a partner fishing for 24 hours, or you can set it up like a relay, so more people are fishing for shorter shifts, but collectively, you’re fishing around the clock. > This is going to be exciting, because we’re going to have some awesome prizes for the anglers who catch the most fish and those who raise the most money – like a trip or a boat or something big like that. Angler Ambassadors will get a free hat and shirt, as well as some free gear. We will be announcing some of the details of a trip and other prizes in the next week. > If you’d like to participate, you need to know that you’re signing up for three things: 1. To fish for 24 hours straight on September 18-19, with a partner, and document your catches with a camera, then post them to the website later 2. To raise money by asking people to sponsor hours that you’re fishing or fish that you’re catching 3. To raise awareness by being a good ambassador of the sport, our cause, and SAFE Angling tactics, and identifying local issues facing that fishery A quick word on sponsorship. Rather than going to companies and asking for big money, this is about grassroots. It’s asking someone to sponsor an hour of fishing for $20. It’s asking someone to sponsor your first 5 fish for $5 each – or whatever they can afford. This gets way more people involved. And in this economy, those big sponsorships just aren’t there – but folks we know can spare $20, and then more people feel ‘a part of something,’ more people hear about us, more people are involved in Stewardship. This project has the ability to make a major splash across the country for Recycled Fish, to raise awareness about issues facing our fisheries, and to demonstrate how anglers really are leading the charge to help solve these issues, while raising funds to help do just that. *** As an added benefit to muskie anglers, 50% of your sponsored dollars will go to a Muskies, INC. chapter of your choice. If you'd like more information, PM me here, send me an email, contact us @ http://www.recycledfish.org Stay tuned for more information in the coming days! thanks Jeremy! with over a month to go, there's plenty of time for YOU to get involved and get some of that grassroots support for your 24-hours of fishing and raise awareness for safe and sustainable angling practices.

Posts: 457 | Update: We're stoked about having Spring Bay Resort on board as a partner! One of the top prizes that we're offering here is a 4night stay at Spring Bay, with use of a 30 HP fishing rig! There will also be a travel allowance on this, covering your way to and from! How awesome is it that they could step up to the plate and help us out with this!
