Location: Madison, WI | Here is a pikie I carved from poplar. I really love the action it has, a lot like a creek chub. Please feel free to comment.

A classic bait to begin with. I just keep using krylon to paint and repaint my old creek chubs and of course theyre in fairly generic patterns. Any chance youre offering one up for sale or trade? I'm sure the clear coats help the buoyancy a ton.
Nicely done.

| Do you have to weight them or do they swim ok with none ? I tried to do one with the same style lip and I wont swim unless I add weight ? Looks great ....I like the color
Thanks |

Location: Madison, WI | I didn't add any extra weight. It's made from poplar and the lip helps it bit just enough into the water (can be bent/tuned to change action) to give it great action and a large wake.
