Posts: 281 Location: ROckford IL | My weekend already started today, since I been saving up for the Big V trip I decided to fish my local waters, good choice since I nailed a 37.5 yesterday and a 37incher today, the one I got yesterday was interesting, I was solo, the lake was super foggy, you could not see 10 feet in front of you and I nailed a 37 incher solo, it was quite a task at hand, anyways got the fish in the net and took pics on the board, then I nailed another 37 while I was out there this morning, heading to Milwaukee tommarow for some salmon fishing, hopefully it will be worth the trip, well see. Posts: 32885 Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Sue and I executed a portion of our weekend plan and fished 3 different lakes for bass and panfish. About 25 bass, and well over 100 panfish were caught and released, 25 panfish are now fish fry. Had a blast, and even though i didn't fish Muskies, I had three follows on Julia the other night. Stupid muskies were looking at my bobber.

Posts: 1057 Location: Medford, WI | Had a great weekend. Rowtrolled by myself on Friday afternoon and got an upper-40" fish, then got another upper 30's casting. Went back to the same lake Saturday and boy, was I in for a ride!!! I got my personal best Wisconsin musky at 49.5" and followed it up with a smaller ski. Then, my friend got one a little under 40" and I had on a fat mid-40" fish that shook the hooks when she went airborne. All in all, a great weekend! I'll get pics up and post more of a report later on as we're headed out to get on the water before these "storms" hit us. All fish were on Curly Sues, except for the rowtrolling 'ski. Let's see everyone elses fatties! -Jake Bucki

Posts: 238 Location: Rhinelander | Jake you sure have been on a good role this season.......may I ask are you working this summer. Time was limited this weekend for myself, only had (4) hours available, but had two tails bitten off of pounders Sat morning. They are now both repaired but look a little battle worn. One caught (3) last Saturday and with last years fish, is looking for retirement soon.

Posts: 229 | Not all this report is from this weekend but last wednesday my Friend landed his first muskie ever on his first cast, a beuaty 38"er and then the very next day we went out again and I finally got my first nebraska muskie, a healthy 33"er. Friday and saturday got some hammer handles and then saturday night me and my dad met up with my friend again, and not only did I nail my 2nd and 3rd muskie ever but my dad managed to catch his first muskie! I got a 29.5"er and a 29"er and my dads was a pretty 28"er. I encountered many other muskies this weekend, lots of follows, and missed strikes. It was an awsome late week/ weekend of fishing I got my first, second, and third muskie ever! and my friend got one and so did my dad! pretty good day for nebraska muskie fishing Edited by Ajohnson 7/27/2009 2:44 PM

Posts: 412 Location: Waukesha, WI | tuffdaddy and I were out Saturday on Ashippun Lake (OK, not really). Stuck a fat 38 incher; the rest that tried to eat never got steel. One side of the rib cage hurts from ripping a dawg, medussa, and reeling the cowdussa. The other side hurts from laughing so darn hard. Tuff-dawg-daddio hasn't shared the pics yet. Mike

Posts: 1286 Location: WI | Fished from shore on saturday evening and got a nice pike around 32", and a short musky about 26". both on Weagles. Sun morning hit it early in the boat and had one small follow. Last Wed I got a 49", so I wasn't too heartbroken about not fishing much on the weekend.

Posts: 103 | I got out friday night/saturday morning and stuck a 39 incher at 12:05 am on a heli dawg. My first casting fish after dark. Saturday I had to work and Sunday my friend and I fished for a few hours before dark. We raised a mid 30 incher and my friend had a mid 40 inch cream a heli dawg right at the boat without getting a hook. We never saw another fish after that.

Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | Only got to fish about 4 1/2 hours on Saturday from 10:00 am-2:30 pm. I lost one in the first 5 minutes, then lost a solid 45 inch+ fish 1 1/2 hours later. After that I caught a 38, and then maybe an hour later caught a 34 incher. Of course I caught the small fish. All the fish came on a Cowgirl other than the 34, which was on a Hardhead. Boat was in about 14 feet casting in with the Cowgirl fish, and 18 feet with the Hardhead. The 38 came from rock, all other fish were on weedlines. Lesson learned AGAIN this year. I lost two fish on the Cowgirl before I changed hooks. They were getting fairly stubby, but I figured they would "still work." Well, I don't think I had hooks into either fish. I let up pressure just a little on the bigger fish when I went into free spool, and it came off like the bait didn't have hooks. Take the time to put on new hooks when they are past their prime! curleytail Attachments ---------------- 38a.jpg (72KB - 64 downloads) 34a.jpg (72KB - 64 downloads)

Posts: 393 Location: Hopefully on the water | Sorry for the late reply to this but had a great weekend in Vilas/Forest County over the weekend. Saturday we fished and had 8 follows, 1 lost fish on the figure 8 (43"-44"). Then about 30 minutes after that i landed my personal bet at 47". All the fish moved were on Dbl Cowgirls and reeling as fast as we could. We should have had 2 of the follows turn into strikes but we weren't paying attention to the weeds in the figure 8. Sunday we moved 7 more fish and put 3 of them in the boat. My dad got a 32 1/2" Tiger on a shallow invader in the morning. We took a break midday and headed out for the evening/ night bite. The Evening was great. 4th cast went into the turn and saw the flash of a fish and did the figure 8 for about a mintue changing depth and speed when a solid 43" drilled me boatside. Then about 2 hours later2 cranks into the retrive I get drilled again with a nice healthy 40". Both of my fish on SUnday came on Dbl Cowgirls again. Speed,Speed, Speed was the ticket for us on the weekend. Hoping for a couple more weekends like that again anytime. Good luck to everyone this weekend.
