Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | I was out on Pewaukee both Saturday and today. We saw 17 without a strike!? We caught a couple of nice bass on 6" Slammers. What's wrong with those fish? They can be on a diet from Monday to Friday!

Posts: 727 | Sorry this is a week late but I was gone for 9 days. Got my personal best last Sunday at 8:15pm on a DC-10. She was 47 and released, I had her follow the day before on a spinnerbait so I waited until the conditions were perfect and came back to the spot. When the pictures are developed I'll scan them and post them up.

Posts: 2323 Location: Stevens Point, WI | Fished a fair amount this weekend but after the front that came in on Friday evening, it really shut things down for us. However, the highlight of my week/weekend was getting my buddy Dan on his first ever muskie on muskie gear Thursday afternoon, caught on a Topraider even. I think I got him hooked to say the least! I did manage a really nice 45 on Friday before the front eventually pushed us off the lake. Here is a short clip of the 45. Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | Fished a fair amount on Saturday on a clear Cisco base lake. The guy with me had a mid 30's follow a Shallow Invader around 6:00 and I caught a 37 on a Triple D around 9:00 p.m. in 45 feet of water. Ciscos were flipping around us from about 7:00-9:00. Fished the same cisco lake tonight for a few hours. Ciscos were still there but no muskies tonight. Shane, what a THICK fish! Looks heavy all the way through. curleytail Edited by curleytail 7/12/2009 11:17 PM Attachments ---------------- 37c.jpg (93KB - 146 downloads)

Posts: 1286 Location: WI | 5 follows, and one short one in the net. The short one was my friends first musky so that was cool. Would have liked to put more hours in but the wind on saturday was insane. The 3 follows I had sunday morning were pretty lazy. Edited by JKahler 7/13/2009 12:07 AM

Posts: 42 | Deep weed edge.... Had a mid 30's follow a large Kickin Minnow up to the boat but I spooked her before I could start the "8"...... Later on, same bait, different spot, was swiped at and nearly had the tail tore off... never saw the fish. Blue bird skies, water temp 74f up 77f by noon.

Posts: 103 | I had one of the best few days of fishing ever. Thursday I caught a 41 incher burning a cowgirl and lost a low 40 inch fish and a mid 40 inch. Both fish hit in the figure 8 and threw the hook within 10 seconds of being hooked. To cap the day off I caught my new PB Musky trolling bucktails after dark. She was 49.5 inches. Friday me and a friend fished for a couple hours before and after dark and put 3 Muskies in the boat. I got a 37 on a double 10 within the first 5 minnutes of fishing. Then about half an hour later my friend John caught his biggest musky to date, a 48 incher that hit a super model in the figure 8. Then later that night I got a 39 incher trolling a 12" BIg Game. Saturday I had to work and Sunday me and a couple friends fished a small 30 acre lake that we could only get in by small boat. I have never seen anyone Musky fishing in there and I hadn't fished it for a couple year. Well on my friends 3rd cast he caught a 37 and I lost a low 40 incher 10 minnutes later. Our night ended short after my friend went to cast and put a depthraider hook right into his girlfriends foot. We tried to get the hook out but couldn't so they went to the ER to get it out. Other than that it was a great weekend. Posts: 4 | Fished Minocqua over the 4th, our annual family vacation. Managed to get out a few am and pm days. We put for 4 in the boat including a nice 41" tiger, a real trophy by my standards. The highlight of the trip, and my musky fishing career so far, was netting my son's first casting musky. A 43.5 he hooked and landed all on his own. We fished late that night and he slept at my feet between the pedistol and foot control for the last hour. Not bad for 10 years old in imho.
