Location: KC-BBQ | Am finally breakin down and goin to purchase 2 weagles. What 2 weagles do you recommend and which size the 9" or 10". And could you tell me which color worked best for you on certain weather conditions (i.e. cloudy, sunny, flat, choppy, pre or post front, etc...)

Location: Oconto Falls, WI | I would suggest getting one weagle and one Fish Stick HD (Lee Lures). Personally I have done better with the Fish Stick HD in the Tiger Musky pattern on a various waters.
Having both will let you see what lure the fish prefer and where. In Eagle River area the F.S. HD is by far the best for me. Other waters I know the fish are fond of the Weagle. |

Location: Racine, Wi | I would get one of each. I've done awesome on the perch in 8" (I think I'm on #3 after retiring a few of them). That color has worked in any condition, rain or shine.
In the 10"er black and perch have both done good, but "Big Black" as it's affectionately known as, has rocked this year. |

| My black standard sized Weagle moved more fish than every other lure combined last Sep on Vermilion. Water temp was 61-63, cloudy most days, it was windy, but we were fishing pretty calm waters, and I worked it pretty fast. We stayed at Spring Bay and the bite was best from 4pm to sunset. I raised about 20 fish on the weagle for the week, had three hits, only landed one fish though. I lost one on the hookset because of a drag that was way too loose (not sure how that happened). It was at the end of a 150 foot cast and I never saw the fish. The other fish I lost was an upper 40s that showed up right behind the lure about 30 feet from the boat. The fish didn't follow, just sat there. I threw the weagle about 10 feet past and 5 feet in front of her brough it back and it was like a bomb went off. She came 2/3 out of the water when she hit it. I waited until she was submerged, felt her weight on the line, set the hook and the weagle came flying past me. I'm still mad!!! The fish I caught was a mean 41 that mangled the middle hook and triple split ring. |

Location: Latitude 41.3016 Longitude 88.6160 | Try a Satisfier, GREAT PAINT, finish in epoxy, $20.00 each or 3 for $50.00, also ck out the Musky Safari Water Moccosin, retails for the low $20.00 range, comes in 8" - 5oz, 9" - 6.5oz, 10" - 8.6oz, the 10" W/M all you hear is swoosh, and it hvy so a big boy won't blow it out of the water without some hooks getting in first.

I prefer the 9" model, but the 10 runs easier for some folks Buy a dark colored lure for dark days and sunrise/sunset, and a bright colored one for sunny days. Then you are set!

I like a zig zag bait that rides low in the water like the Musky Safari Water Moccosin, and the Satisfer by Russ Fields, it is made from hard maple and the finish is one of the best, both are in the LOW $20.00 range. Color I like light colors in the day and black at night. I have found that there is so many good baits out that I don't limit myself to one BRAND. Take a look at the Satisfer below.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I like the above baits as well, and have a One Eyed Willie in my arsenal too. Just for clarification, the Weagle rides low in the water, and is balanced so I can work it faster than a Satisfier or One Eyed Willie in a tight, near full circle zig zag that rides less than a foot side to side...creating the commotion I am looking for some days. If I want slower and very low, I run one brand, if I want to be versatile with the presentation changing it up from fast to slow, I run a Weagle. |

Location: madison wisconsin | My vote is for fish stick also. Great zig zag and can cause alot of splash if worked slow. No swivel on wire leader and split rings is the way to go! |

Location: Hayward, WI | Weagles are great baits. I've caught a lot of fish, including some very nice fish, on the standard sized one (I thought it was the 8 inch?) I have a 10 incher, and it sounds great and works easy, but I haven't given it enough time to get any fish action. I do like the large profile and big swoosh of the 10 incher.
Saying that, if I was to only get one I would probably get the standard size. Plenty big enough to get the attention of anything, but small enough to use early in the year.
Most any color would work. Both of mine are black - it's a pretty versatile color. I like perch too. Seems like that would work well in many conditions.

Location: Indiana | Both sizes are good. To me they work a little differently though. (Admittidley my smaller ones are pre-Mojo and seem heavier). But, the 10" for me will walk at all speeds and the 9" will work better at the death march and just a little faster. For color, go with what you have confidence in. |
